So What is Coaching?

What is Coaching?

Coaching is a tool that is used to empower individuals and help them reach their goals; it is a structured conversation between the Coach and the Client.


Coaching is a forward pacing medium to which works with your ideas, plans, goals & dreams Whatever title you wish to give to the thoughts of where you want to be, what you want to have, & what you want to do, how you are going to get there and the timeframe that you wish to attach to the forward movement of your life.


During your coaching sessions your coach, will walk by your side to help you to reach your ultimate goal and aspirations.

They will listen to you, ask questions, find out what your challenges are and inspire you to reach that end goal.

You will be encouraged to make decisions and take responsibility for these decisions.

How does coaching work?


Different coaches use different models to structure their sessions.

Some use models looking at the areas of Goals, Reality, Options and Way forward.

These models keep you moving forward towards your goal.


Others use several different Models, used to bring forward your unconscious thoughts, feelings and values to bring about the change you are searching for.


Your coach will be asking you questions, listening to your responses, challenging you whilst all the time remaining non-judgemental regarding the details and not offering you any advice.

What coaching is not


Coaching is not Therapy or Psychology.

Coaching is not about your coach giving you suggestions or advice.

Coaches are not mentoring or counselling you.


If you commence a series of coaching sessions and it is deemed that coaching is not the correct support mechanism for you at this moment in time this will be discussed with you directly to find a suitable solution to support your onward journey.
